Kenya’s energy and petroleum regulator appoints Mueni Mutunga acting Director General

KENYA – The board of Kenya’s Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has appointed Mueni Mutunga as the acting Director General position, replacing Pavel Oimeke, whose term ended on August 1st 2020.  The outgoing director-general Pavel Oimeke was asked to step aside after his reappointment for another three-year term was contested in court. Mr Oimeke was appointed as EPRA’s Director-General on August 1, 2017 on a renewable three-year term.
