MADAGASCAR – As part of the promotion of renewable energy in Madagascar, JIRAMA, a state-owned electric utility and water services company and Green Yellow Madagascar, have agreed to further expand the Ambatolampy, the biggest solar power plant in the Indian Ocean in order to increase its capacity from 20 to 40MWp as well as providing for a 5MWh of battery. AFRICA – African Guarantee Fund, a market-friendly guarantee scheme that aims at easing access to finance for African small SMEs, has appointed Jules Ngankam as its new Group Chief Executive Officer. African Guarantee Fund appoints CEO Felix Bikpo as chairman

KENYA – The board of Pan-African non-bank financial institution African Guarantee Fund (AGF), a small and medium-sized enterprises credit facilitator, has appointed Felix Bikpo as its chairman.
