BENIN – Genesis Holdings, a Nigerian based energy company, has secured funding from the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund (EAIF) for the construction of a 25MW gas power plant in Benin. World Bank approves US$10.4m additional funding to Benin for public health emergencies

BENIN – The World Bank has approved additional financing of US$10.4 million from the International Development Association (IDA) to support Benin’s efforts to fight COVID-19 (coronavirus) and help the country respond to public health emergencies.  These funds bring the total sum allocated by the World Bank for Benin’s emergency measures to some US$40 million.
