China opens first African cocoa trading center to meet rising demand

GHANA – An African cocoa trading center has been opened in Hunan Province, Central China to connect the world’s leading cocoa producing region to China’s fast-growing appetite for chocolate. Ghana to domestically process 50% of cocoa produce, to use US$600m AfDB facility in enhancing processing capacity

GHANA – Ghana, the second largest producer of cocoa in the world, has reiterated its commitment towards locally processing half of the cocoa that it produces.
