European Union injects additional US$16.9m supporting FAO fight the desert locust upsurge

EAST AFRICA – The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has received an additional €15 million (US$16.9m) from the European Union to fight Desert Locusts upsurge and their impacts on food security in East Africa as a new wave of locusts is emerging in the region.
