ICT regulator ZICTA awards Beeline Telecoms Zambia’s 4th mobile license

ZAMBIA – The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) has granted Beeline Telecom Limited a licence to commence mobile phone operations in the country. Beeline Telecom, a Zambian wholly owned company, will be required to commence operation within the next six months failure to which, unless determined otherwise by the Authority, the licence will be revoked. Egyptian government to launch mobile application for e-waste collection

EGYPT – The Egyptian government plans to launch a mobile application to facilitate the collection of e-waste in the country that will enable Egyptians to exchange their old devices for discount vouchers on the purchase of new equipment. The mobile application will enable people to exchange their electronic waste for discount vouchers for the purchase of new devices.
