WooCommerce selects fintech startup Paystack as its payments partner

NIGERIA – Paystack, a fintech startup, has been selected by WooCommerce, an open-source e-commerce plugin for WordPress, as its preferred payments partner for WooCommerce in Africa. More than 20,000 merchants are using the free Paystack WooCommerce Payment Gateway plugin but searching for and downloading the plugin separately is no longer required. Nigeria’s fintech Paystack launches in its third market, South Africa

NIGERIA – Nigerian payments platform Paystack has launched operations in South Africa after a six-month pilot, with the country becoming the startup’s third market in Africa and first new destination since its acquisition by Stripe in October.
