AfDB, Egypt ink US$130m financing deal for sanitation services in rural areas

EGYPT – African Development Bank (AfDB) has inked a development financing deal worth €109 million (US$130.12m) with Egypt’s Ministry of International Cooperation that aims to provide sanitation services in residential communities in Luxor’s rural areas. According to the deal, AfDB will provide €108 million (US$128.93m) alongside a €1 million (US$1.19m) grant to the project which will benefit 22 thousand homes in Luxor.
